Natural Mystic Tattoos & Piercings
The Natural Mystic Tattoo Dome is not your average tattoo shop; we're the world's first eco friendly tattoo shop. Our facility has been recognized world wide for its green efforts in the tattoo industry, and that is just one of things we have to brag about at Natural Mystic Tattoos.
Natural Mystic Tattoos offers original customer tattoo design work, as well as thousands of flash artwork to inspire your next tattoo, just like every other tattoo shop. What sets Natural Mystic Tattoos apart from the competition? Our passion and skill take our tattoos to the next level. The tattoo artists at Natural Mystic Tattoos specialize in
- Traditional American Tattoos - Before the 1970s, this was the only true style of tattoos in the United States, when people collection tattoos like stamps. Designs were usually small with crisp lines, few colors, and little subtlety. Traditional American tattoo styling has been revived over the last 10 years thanks to artists like Ed Hardy.
- Asian Tattoos - Large symbolic designs, particularly Japanese, are considered timeless. Japanese koi morphing into dragons are a popular theme for arm "sleeves".
- Biomechanical Tattoos- Credit the "Alien" movies with inspiring this branch of surrealism, which depicts a combination of human and robot-like parts.
- Photorealist Tattoos - Thanks to modern inks and techniques, portraits and images get far closer to the ideal or "realism" than one from decades past.
- Tribal Tattoos- A modern U.S. trend sprang up in the mid-1980s, imitating the bold, dark, geometric tattoos common in many ancient tribal cultures.

|
The nostril piercing is the most common form of nose piercing and one of the most common body piercings in general. It is done on either side of the nose and generally just along the edge of the curve of the nostril. Common gauges for nostril piercings are 20 gauge or 18 gauge and jewelry includes: nose screws, nose bones, and bend to fit nose studs. Small captive bead rings are fairly common a...

| Tongue Piercing |
|
A tongue piercing is most commonly done at 14 gauge and involves piercing the tongue from top to bottom. This is a piercing that should only be performed by very experienced piercers as there are 3 arterial veins in the tongue which, if accidentally pierced, will result in profuse bleeding. You can trust the staff at Natural Mystic. Tongue piercings are one of the top 3 piercings requested by c...

| Eyebrow Piercing |
|
Eyebrow piercings are very common. They are typically done vertically and off center on the eyebrow. Although toward the outside is most common, they are seen on the inside as well. Eyebrow piercings are typically done at 16ga or 14ga and most generally the jewelry consists of either a curved barbell or a small captive bead ring.

| Lip Piercing |
|
Lip piercings come in a fairly wide range of combinations and placements (including the very popular Monroe piercing) and may be done in either the upper or the lower lip. Multiple lip piercings are often referred to as "bite" piercings; depending on the number or exact location of the multiple piercings they may be called: snake bite piercings, spider bite piercings, viper bite piercings, ange...

| Monroe Piercing |
|
A monroe piercing is done off center on the upper lip and is intended to resemble a beauty mark. This type of piercing is usually done at 14ga or 16ga and a labret stud type jewelry is worn. Small gems are the most popular for this piercing. This is also one of the quicker healing piercings; common healing time is usually only 6 to 8 weeks.

| Septum Piercing |
|
The septum piercing is another form of nose piercing. Although technically the septum is the cartilige which divides the nose vertically between the nostrils, this piercing is almos always done through the flesh just below the end of the cartilige. The most common gauge is 14ga, buut this piercing can (and often is) stretched to larger gauge sizes. There are numerous types of septum jewelry inc...

| Navel Piercing |
|
The navel is a depressed scar which tends to collect dirt and if not dried properly after bathing can become subject to fungal infections i.e. Candida Albicans (Thrush) even if it's not pierced. Once it's pierced, extra care must be taken with cleaning to prevent infections. I can't stress strongly enough that it must be looked after carefully! Navels take a long time to heal because the navel ...

- Wash your hands before applying ointment to tattoo! This is an open wound until healed - you will infect your tattoo is applied with dirty or unwashed hands!
- Wash your tattoo in approximately one (1) hour after leaving Natural Mystic Tattoos with anti-bacterial soap.
- Do not soak your new tattoo in the bath, hot tub or pool.
- Apply ointment to the area of the tattoo with care not to scrape or tear any scabs or damage the new tissue.
- Healing ointment is your best friend for the first 5 - 7 days.
- Use a non scented alcohol free Lubriderm lotion for the continuous life of your tattoo.
- 50 SPF SUN BLOCK is sufficient enough for fun in the sun.
Note - take special care to let your tattoo "breathe", do not coat your tattoo with thick layers of healing ointment. A thin layer is sufficient Wipe off excess ointment with a clean paper towel. A light coating to ensure the tattoo does not dry up is best.
Cool Things To Do To Ensure Your New Tattoo Will Be Taken Care Of
- Wash you tattoo lightly in the shower with un-scented anti-bacterial soap.
- Use your hand to flake off the first healing layer of skin after showering during healing.
- Apply un-scented Lubriderm lotion as the healing process is finishing.
- You can apply zinc oxide cream to a HEALED tattoo to protect during sun tanning or sun exposure - BUT NOT during healing.
- You can remove excess ointment with a clean paper towel so that you do not over-saturate your tattoo - your tattoo needs to "breathe".
Stupid Things You Don't Want To Do Because You're Tattoo Will Suffer From It
- Do not switch back and forth from different healing ointments and lotions. Use one product and stick with it until your tattoo is healed.
- Do not use a wash cloth on your new tattoo until it is healed - the texture is abrasive.
- Do not apply healing products with dirty hands - you will infect the tattoo - this is an open wound until completely healed!
- Do not apply Neosporin or other Triple Antibiotic first-aid creams/ointments to your healing tattoo.
- Do not use A & D Zinc Oxide Cream to your tattoo!
- Do not soak in a hot tub, swim in a chlorinated pool or lake or river until your tattoo is healed.
- Do not tan in a tanning bed or outside until your tattoo is healed.
Locally, Natural Mystic Tattoos is taking the next step ahead and we have designed and built a facility that merges art and function., located in Pineville, Louisiana. At Natural Mystic Tattoos, not only do we try to inspire clients with new exciting ideas for their artwork, we also have tried to inspire everyone to think outside their box. We built the Natural Mystic Tattoo Dome with eco-friendly extras; for example: bamboo flooring, low flow toilets, radiant heat/air, skylight tubes, and fluorescent lighting. We wanted our tattoo artists to be inspired and our clients to have a great experience, and most importantly, get a great tattoo! The Natural Mystic Tattoo Dome and the artwork created inside our eco-friendly building has gained attention worldwide. Recently in October 2010, Paco Rollins, a famous tattoo machine maker was a guest artist, right here in Pineville, Louisiana at the Natural Mystic Tattoo Dome.
We have a great staff at Natural Mystic that takes their clients through the process of choosing all of the details of their tattoos and then applying their artwork. Every customer that walks through the door is treated with respect. No need to feel intimidated here! The tattoo artists and management team are experts at communicating with customers to get their ideas on paper and on skin. They will not stop until the client is satisfied with their tattoo. That means the client always gets what they want with the help of the tattoo artist. The whole process of getting a tattoo starts with communication. Aftercare is what the customer does with their tattoo after leaving our shop. We give written instructions, as well as verbally explain how to care of your tattoos. We also call our customers to see if they have any questions and make sure they are on track in keeping the instructions. Natural Mystic Tattoos is the only shop that calls you in a few days to follow up and see how you're doing. Our customers are always happy that we care about them even after they have left.
